Zinfandel Grille: Experience New American-Italian Cuisine in Sacramento

Every dish we ordered was fantastic, flavor bombed meals! Our hats off to the chef! The staff and service were great, friendly and casual atmosphere, not pretentious. We had such a great experience here, maybe one of the best dinners I've had in a restaurant, and our lovely server, Erin was great (sorry, if I got the name your name wrong, should have wrote this review sooner). We will definitely visit again. We highly recommend!

This neighborhood spot did not disappoint. The dining room is dimly lit and the sounds of table chatter ring throughout. The staff were friendly, smiling and approachable. Our server Gabriel was attentive and patient with our table of 10. Here's what we ordered: 1. Crab and artichoke dip (on special this evening) 2. Sourdough bread 3. Cesar salad 4. Grilled Salmon entrees 5. Short Rib entrees 6. Steak entrees 7. Pizzas The steak was deliciously tender, although the demi gloss was a tad bit salty. The mashed potatoes were soft as clouds. The meat lover pizza will definitely satisfy any true carnivore and the crab and artichoke dip had a cheese pull like no other.

My boyfriend and I have been to Zinfandel Grille twice now, and both visits left us absolutely amazed by the incredible food and outstanding service. We went yesterday to celebrate our one-year anniversary, and it was the perfect spot for such a special occasion! We tried the Wagyu pizza and gnocchi—two dishes we'd never had before—and we both agreed they were hands-down the best things we've eaten in Sacramento. A few other standouts: The clam chowder was phenomenal (and this is coming from someone who usually skips fish—it had this amazing smoky depth that I couldn't get enough of). But my absolute favorite was the jerk chicken with handmade pasta. That flavor combination was completely new to me and absolutely unforgettable. I did notice on the website that they used to offer bruschetta—I really hope they bring it back because it sounds like it would be amazing here! Highly recommend Zinfandel Grille for anyone looking for elevated, creative dishes in a warm atmosphere. 5 stars all the way!

Took my mother in law to one of my wife and my go to spots in Arden, Zinfandel Grille. This is our Valentine’s Day, anniversary, random date night spot, and somehow it never lets us down. The consistency is unreal. Staff is always dialed in, and our server was clutch since my mother in law only speaks Spanish. I forgot her name, but she was from Acapulco and absolutely crushed it. Food was exactly what we expect here. My wife and MIL both ordered the steak, and yes, I stole a bite for quality control. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Mashed potatoes and mushroom spinach were legit. I went with the pumpkin ravioli and the seasonal clam chowder, both clearly made with care. Added a glass of red wine for balance, then we finished strong with a crème brûlée split three ways because sharing dessert feels mature. We love Zinfandel Grille, and bringing a guest who ends up loving it too is always a good feeling. Says a lot about the food and the people

The cannelloni, butternut squash pizza, and baked brie were delicious, and the drinks were well made. Our server Donteal was attentive and observant, checking in frequently. The lemon cheesecake was an excellent dessert to finish the meal with. The atmosphere was warm and more intimate for a couples' night out.

Zinfandel grill is always great. It was a quiet lunch which made me a little bit worried about how busy they are. But it was a Tuesday after the holiday so maybe that was all it was. I sure hope so. I would hate to see this place go away. Great food. Great service. And fair prices.

We hadn’t been back for a while because our previous visit wasn’t very good. However, today’s lunch was delicious.

Positively delightful dining experience! The food was fantastic (I wholeheartedly recommend the ravioli). The service was outstanding with just the right amount of checking in on us. Our dishes were delivered most timely and in the succession we requested. Well done all around!
